Vocabulary
adaptive technology-- special versions of already existing technologies or tools, usually used by people with disabilities such as limitations to vision, hearing, and mobility.
assistive technology--broader term encompassing any light-, mid-, or high-tech tool or device that helps people with disabilities perform a tasks with greater ease and/or independence.
bio-- life; living
biotechnology-- technology applied to living organism
ethanol-- biofuel additive for gasoline; ethal alcohol; most often made from corn or sugar cane; classified as adaptive even though it doesn't assist people with disabilities
prosthesis--an artificial, or prosthetic, organ or limb
